About Me

I have been Indoor karting for 3 years and competitively racing indoor karts for 18 months. My first karting experience was at the Circuit Raceway in Chester at the age of 14. This is where I participated in ‘arrive and drive’ sessions and open races and as time went on I learnt more and the results got better. Within my first year practicing at The Circuit Raceway I had begun winning podium finishes at open events. I then went on to set the lap record and win numerous 1st place trophies at the Circuit Raceway.

I then decided to have a few practice sessions at Daytona Manchester, I was 15 nearly 16 and after setting some good times on the track during practice I was told I should enter the Inkart Championship. This is run monthly and is for more experienced drivers. So, in September 2007 at the age of 15 I competed in my first, what I would call competitive race with some very good Indoor drivers. I managed to finish 2nd in my first round. During this period I was planning to go into outdoor karting but my financial situation was such that I could not. So I sat down with my family and we discussed the options. We decided to compete in the 2008 Mercedes Benz Inkart Championship held at Daytona. By December 2008 I had managed to finish 3rd overall in the Championship and posting my best lap time in August 2008 of 24.178.

In 2008 I competed in many races and championships and learnt so much in regards to my racing, my potential and what I want to achieve. I competed in the British Schools Karting Championship finishing 12th out of 228 teams. I also travelled to Belgium where I competed in the 2008 Indoor Karting World Championships and I finished a respectful 46th.

I decided during the second half of 2008 that I needed to get into outdoor karting because I want to have a career in Motorsport and to do so I need to keep progressing and outdoor karting is the way forward for me. I am with Precision Racing and I am going to be competing in the Formula Blue class for 2009.

I am at Trafford College studying a BTEC National Diploma in Business I am working part time at Daytona Manchester as a track marshal and I am also a part time gardener in order to pay for my racing.
